Ingredients:
- 100g rolled oats
- 250ml milk (or water, for a lighter version)

Instructions:
- In a medium-sized saucepan, bring the milk (or water) to a simmer over medium heat.
- Add the rolled oats and a pinch of salt to the simmering liquid, stirring occasionally. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the oats are soft and have absorbed most of the liquid.
- While the oats are cooking, peel, core, and dice the apple into small pieces. Add the apple to the pot during the last few minutes of cooking so it softens but doesn’t completely disintegrate.
- Stir in the cinnamon and sweeten with honey or maple syrup if desired.
- Once the porridge reaches a creamy consistency, remove from the heat and serve immediately.
