Ingredients:
- 1 can Pillsbury Grands! biscuits
- 1 lb breakfast sausage
- 3 tbsp flour
- 2 cups milk
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt
- 4 large eggs (optional for added protein)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the Pillsbury biscuits according to package instructions, about 10-12 minutes.
- While the biscuits are baking, cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it up into small pieces until browned.
- Once the sausage is cooked, add the flour to the skillet and stir for 1 minute to make a roux.
- Gradually pour in the milk while stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the gravy thickens. Season with black pepper and salt.
- If desired, scramble eggs in a separate skillet and season with salt and pepper.
- Once the biscuits are done, slice them in half.
- Spoon a generous amount of sausage gravy onto the bottom half of each biscuit. Add scrambled eggs if using, and top with the other half of the biscuit.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
