Ingredients:
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
- 1 cup crab meat, lump preferred
- 3 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp white miso paste
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 cups seafood stock
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp rice vinegar
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Green onions, chopped, for garnish
Instructions:
- In a large pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, and grated ginger, cooking until softened and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the white miso paste, allowing it to dissolve into the vegetables, cooking for 2–3 minutes.
- Add the flour and cook for 1–2 minutes, stirring continuously.
- Gradually pour in the seafood stock and coconut milk, stirring to incorporate. Bring to a simmer.
- Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, and cook for 15–20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Add shrimp and crab meat, cooking until the shrimp is fully cooked, about 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper, and garnish with green onions.
