Ingredients

  • 12–15 large strawberries, washed and dried
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Assorted dippable treats (marshmallows, cookies, banana slices, pretzels)

Instructions

  1. In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and heavy cream. Melt over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method) or in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth and glossy.
  2. Stir in the vanilla extract and remove the bowl from the heat.
  3. Transfer the melted chocolate into a fondue pot or a shallow dish for dipping. Arrange the strawberries and dippable treats around the pot.
  4. Dip the strawberries into the warm chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off. Place on a parchment-lined plate to set for a few minutes before serving.
