Equipment

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 whisk or spatula
  • 1 bread pan (8x4-inch recommended)
  • Parchment Paper
  • Knife
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons

Ingredients

  • 1 cup tahini
  • ½ cup refined coconut oil melted
  • 4 tablespoons agave nectar or honey, maple syrup, coconut nectar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • cup dark chocolate chips optional
  • Flaked sea salt for topping (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare Ingredients: Before starting, gather all your ingredients and equipment.
Measure out 1 cup of creamy tahini, 1/2 cup of melted refined coconut oil, 4 tablespoons of agave nectar (or your preferred natural sweetener), 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 1/3 cup of dark chocolate chips if you’re including them.
Lining up your ingredients ensures a smooth, stress-free process.
  • Line the Pan: Take an 8x4-inch bread pan and carefully line it with parchment paper, allowing a little extra hanging over the sides.
This will make removing the fudge easier once it’s set.
Make sure the parchment paper lies flat without wrinkles, so your fudge will have smooth edges.
  • Mix the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the tahini, melted coconut oil, agave nectar, and cocoa powder.
Using a whisk or spatula, stir gently but thoroughly until the mixture becomes completely smooth, creamy, and evenly chocolate-colored.
Take your time to avoid lumps and ensure the sweetener is fully incorporated.
  • Add Chocolate Chips (Optional): If you want extra chocolatey bites, fold in 1/3 cup of dark chocolate chips.
Mix just enough to evenly distribute the chips throughout the fudge mixture.
This adds a delightful texture contrast without overwhelming the smooth tahini base.
  • Pour Mixture Into Pan: Carefully pour the smooth fudge mixture into the prepared bread pan.
Use a spatula to gently spread it evenly, smoothing the top so that the thickness is consistent.
A level surface ensures even freezing and easier cutting later.
  • Sprinkle Sea Salt (Optional): For a subtle salty-sweet flavor, sprinkle a pinch of flaked sea salt evenly across the top of the fudge.
This small addition enhances the chocolate flavor and adds a professional touch, but it’s optional depending on your taste preference.
  • Freeze Until Firm: Place the pan in the freezer and let the fudge set for at least 1 hour.
The cold will allow the mixture to firm up completely, making it easier to slice into perfect squares.
For best results, avoid disturbing the pan while it freezes.
  • Remove Fudge from Pan: Once firm, carefully slide a knife around the edges to loosen the fudge from the sides.
Gently lift the parchment paper to remove the entire block from the pan.
Doing this slowly prevents the fudge from breaking or cracking.
  • Cut Into Squares: Place the block of fudge on a cutting board and use a sharp knife to slice it into 18 equal squares.
Clean the knife between cuts if needed to maintain neat edges.
This step gives you perfectly portioned treats ready for serving or storing.
  • Store Properly: Transfer the fudge squares to an airtight container.
They can be stored in the fridge for a firmer texture or kept in the freezer for longer-term storage.
Whenever ready to enjoy, allow them to sit at room temperature for a few minutes for easy handling.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Your Chocolate Tahini Freezer Fudge is now ready to delight!
Serve as a snack, dessert, or a quick sweet treat.
Enjoy the creamy, chocolatey, nutty flavor with every bite, knowing it’s a healthier, low-carb indulgence packed with plant-based protein and healthy fats.

Notes

  • This fudge is naturally low in carbs and packed with healthy fats from tahini and coconut oil, making it a perfect guilt-free indulgence.
  • For a sweeter or richer flavor, adjust the amount of agave nectar or cocoa powder to suit your taste.
  • Dark chocolate chips are optional but add a delightful texture contrast.
  • Use refined coconut oil to keep the fudge flavor-neutral; unrefined coconut oil may impart a stronger coconut taste.
  • Always line the pan with parchment paper to ensure easy removal and clean edges.
  • Slice the fudge while frozen for clean, neat squares, then allow them to soften slightly at room temperature before serving.
